About Sharlin Health Regeneration Center

Chronic, age-related, and degenerative diseases continue to plague patients across the nation. In fact, a startling one out of every two Americans deals with a chronic medical condition daily. This includes 6.2 million with Alzheimer’s disease, 2 million with multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease combined, and another 16,000 with ALS.

However, new scientific developments have empowered healthcare providers to find innovative clinical applications that can potentially reverse the tissue or organ damage that complicate treating these chronic conditions. One of these breakthroughs is regenerative medicine.

Dr Sharlin

The Sharlin Health Regeneration Center stands on the leading edge of this exciting new field. Using a combination of nutrient-based therapies, cutting-edge medicine, and the potential of stem cell treatments, our team offers Ozark-area patients the chance at a new lease on life.

Leveraging the power of regenerative medicine, the Sharlin Health team works together as one to help repair injured, diseased, or defective organs and tissues.  With a wealth of scientific expertise and compassion, we look to transform the nature of medicine.

Not only are we healers, but just as importantly, we’re educators. Without the knowledge about available treatments, patients will continue to suffer needlessly.  For that reason, we aim to:

  • Train other healthcare providers and researchers in the theory and application of regenerative medicine
  • Engage in ongoing education about new developments in regenerative science
  • Educate our patients and local residents about the advantages of regenerative medicine to treat specific chronic conditions

Above all, we promise to pursue every possibility to relieve pain, reverse damage, and provide our patients with a better quality of life.

MEET OUR FOUNDER: DR. KEN SHARLIN

about me

Rooted in Science and Innovation

From birth onward, Dr. Ken Sharlin has pursued his insatiable curiosity in both science and the creative side of life.

The son of a pediatrician and a special-needs teacher with a passion for the arts, he pursued writing from an early age, culminating in his B.A. in English from Kenyon College.

Bonding over poetry, Dr. Sharlin forged a relationship with cardiologist and writer Dr. John Stone, M.D., eventually following Stone to the Emory University School of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Sharlin turned his focus toward neurology, studying at both the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, where he finished his residency in 1998.

His early career as a specialist in neurology followed a typical trajectory, serving in private practices, large hospital-affiliated practices, and in hospitals in intensive care units, inpatient wards, and even in emergency rooms.

In addition, he continued to pursue cutting-edge research in his field, earning his peers’ respect through multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, both in neurology and in the treatment of chronic and degenerative diseases.

Stem Cell Research

His research led him toward solving the challenges of complex neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, epilepsy, sleep disorders, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and other chronic diseases, helping to bring new treatments to market – as he continues to do to this day through his work at the Sharlin Health Regeneration Center.

fitness

One of the insights he gained through his years in research and clinical medicine was the impact fitness and a healthy lifestyle made on his patients’ outcomes. He applied these insights to his own life, competing in cycling and eventually triathlons, finishing three times in the grueling Ironman Triathlon.

As he grew his fitness and competitive spirit, he noticed that his own health – body, mind, and spirit – spiraled upward. Functional medicine – and its natural outgrowth – regenerative medicine – was the next logical step in his formation.

By combining cutting-edge nutrition, fitness, and stress management techniques with traditional medicine, functional medicine, and now regenerative medicine, his approach optimizes the human body’s capacity to generate healing energy at the cellular level.

As one of functional medicine’s most talented doctors, Ken Sharlin, M.D., M.P.Hl, spreads the message of life-changing medicine throughout the greater Ozarks and surrounding areas on radio, podcasts, and TV programs.

Stem Cell Doctor

His Brain Tune Up! protocol, as well as his current pursuits at the Sharlin Health Regeneration Center, employ both functional and regenerative medicine tools and techniques to transform patients' lives.
